Radon Detection Specialists, Inc. has been testing for radon since 1986. With over 20,000 tests under our belt, we are the largest in-state radon testing firm in Illinois. We meet or exceed all state standards and perform all tests according to state protocols.

Starting January 1st, 2008 the Illinois Radon Awareness Act (IRAA) requires that the seller provide a state approved Disclosure Form and Disclosure Pamphet to potential purchasers. The state forms and our handy Disclosure Assessment Form are available above.

Cancer Survivors Against Radon (CanSAR)

Elizabeth Hoffman, a never-smoker and lung cancer survivor founded CanSAR to give apparent radon-induced lung cancer victims a voice and to educate other lung-cancer victims about the role that radon may have played in their illness. Identifing elevated radon levels in homes and minimizing further exposure is a primary focus of this organization.
